About Arelys Z-J

Arelys was born in Golfito Costa Rica, raised on the beach in Pilon of Pavones,

In 2009 created Pavones Surf Shop, during several years she was taking care of the legal part of the business but always interested on the process of making surf

boards and spending time in the factory observing each process and learning how to do small things.

She Started helping with cutting blanks, and little by little learned how to glass boards, by 2018 she became our laminator and hot coater now she is also doing some of the paint jobs which has been a new challenge for her but she loves it

Not Only she glasses and hot coats surfboards and still works on legal part of the business, but she is a full time Mom and Wife and that is what gives her the inspiration to do the best in Pavones Surf Shop

We believe she is the first Costa Rican woman that has become a glasser and maybe one the very a few in  Central America.
